The washing of the high quality health care components requires considerable amounts of water. With the closed water circuit in its Indian plant Datwyler saves significant amounts of water in an area where water is scarce.

United Nations (UN) Global Compact
With more than 11,000 members, the UN Global Compact promotes awareness of the social and ecological responsibility of business.
The sustainable management approach is reflected, among other things, in our membership in the UN Global Compact.
Datwyler has been a member of the UN Global Compact since 2009, committing to meeting its social and environmental responsibilities and observing the ten principles on human rights, labour practices, environmental protection and anti-corruption.
By participating in CDP, our stakeholders receive standardized reporting on energy consumption.
Since 2013, we have been reporting our energy consumption and the resulting CO2 emissions to CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project). This provides interested stakeholders with standardized reporting on climate-relevant topics.
The EcoVadis audit and rating makes our corporate social responsibility and sustainability activities available to our customers in a standardized form.
Datwyler Group was awarded the silver rating for the second consecutive time and is in the top 25% of all companies assessed by EcoVadis. The EcoVadis CSR performance overview about Datwyler is available to all customers.
Since 2009 we are publishing a sustainability report according to the worldwide accepted guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).
In the GRI Sustainability Report, Datwyler reports transparently on progress and achievement of objectives in the relevant sustainability topics. This is monitored by GRI and confirmed by its Materiality Disclosure Service.

For Datwyler, a responsible attitude to natural resources represents an important principle that is enshrined in both the corporate values and the Code of Conduct. In 2019, the company reduced relative consumption of all resources for the third time in a row. Datwyler’s long-term aim is to become carbon neutral.

Datwyler carefully selects quality raw materials to improve its competitive position and guarantee business continuity. To this end, the company seeks long-term relationships with suppliers to create added value for customers. A binding Code of Conduct and guidelines for sustainable procurement form the basis for ethical
and environmentally friendly supply chains.
Fair business practices.
Over the course of a century, the Datwyler Group has evolved from a Swiss family business into a genuine global player. Its strong roots have enabled the business to develop its own style based around high standards and its own particular values. The principles of ethically correct conduct are neatly summarised in the corporate value of ‘We have respect for others’.
