At the 36th Fraisa ToolChampions competition, Datwyler apprentice polymechanics had two reasons to celebrate. Out of almost 1000 participants from all over Switzerland, two Datwyler apprentices made it into the top 60. Lorena Leu and Aron Russi were able to build on their successes of recent years.
On 16 March, Datwyler's Annual General Meeting approved all proposals of the Board by a large majority. This included an increase in the dividend, and the election of Judith van Walsum as a new member of the Board of Directors. Shareholders were able to cast their votes in advance by giving instructions to the independent proxy.
On March 9, Datwyler's Annual General Meeting approved all proposals of the Board by a large majority. This included an increase in the dividend, and a third representative of public shareholders was appointed to the Board of Directors for the first time with Martin Hirzel. Shareholders were able to cast their votes in advance by giving instructions to the independent proxy. Personal attendance was not possible due to the pandemic situation.
Together with his brother Peter, he turned a Swiss rubber and cabling company into a world-class corporate group and at the same time ensured that Datwyler remained independent and in the Swiss canton of Uri through a unique succession arrangement. Due to the current situation, however, Datwyler recommends that instead of attending in person, the shareholders vote by 10 March by means of electronic remote voting or by issuing instructions to the independent proxy.
