We are pleased to share the information that Datwyler will contribute to the LeiMot (Leichtmotor, Lightweight-Engine) research project with its leading expertise about polymers concerning material, engineering, and simulation. Datwyler will partner up with important players from the mobility industry like Volkswagen, the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy, RWTH Aachen, Fraunhofer, FEV, and many others. The project’s objective is to reduce the overall weight of the internal combustion engine, while improving efficiency, operational behaviour, thermal management, and NVH in order to meet future requirements for comfort, safety, and sustainability.
