The Digital Transformation: Preparing the Pharma Supply Chain for the Digitalization of Healthcare

Andrea Greggio graduated in computer science with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence in 2006, when today's trendy topics were still reserved for university research. He was and still is fascinated by the potential of technological innovation at the service of the community. Today, in the role of Head of Engineering and Digitalization at Datwyler, he leads a team of enthusiasts in constant search of solutions for old and new challenges to strive for operational excellence.

Jan Meerten joined Datwyler in 2004 and has since held roles managing various technical departments, such as engineering, maintenance, tooling and local-ICT. Today, in his role of Head of Engineering & Maintenance, Jan focuses on automation projects for rationalization, quality improvement, and reduction of heavy labor.

Tom Lenaerts joined Datwyler in 2017 and has held the positions of production manager, Datwyler Production System manager and Process & Validation manager in the Belgian plant before taking up the position of Head of Global Process Engineering. Before being part of the Datwyler organization, Tom worked for 14 years within an engineering & consultancy firm. He has a Masters in Industrial Engineering.

Andrea Rapetti is a Digital Manufacturing professional with a multiyear experience in applying Digital Technologies into diverse industries. After several years working in IT manufacturing contexts, leveraging ERP, MES and PLM synergies, he has approached the Digital Transformation from the very beginning, interacting with technology leaders and visionary customers. He has established a deep Digital Thought Leadership, with the ability to develop guiding roadmaps, to apply digital technologies into real manufacturing environment, supporting the required changes. Currently he is applying such expertise into the Pharma Packaging world to bring quality and productivity to the next level, leveraging the state of the art techniques in automation, data collection, deep analytics and enabling the benefits of the Digital Twin in such a demanding environment.
