To meet the demand for clean water, Datwyler supported the building of 14 AquaTower systems last year. A total of 57 AquaTower systems have been installed in Maharashtra since 2019 thanks to Datwyler. These systems have been placed at schools but provide clean and safe drinking water for the entire local community. The project also includes hand-washing stations, Planet Water’s hygiene education program, and an AquaSan surface disinfection system.
Employees from Datwyler’s Indian plant have been involved in the project from the beginning, assisting with construction and installation. In November last year, Datwyler managers from Europe were even on-site to help build an AquaTower and celebrate its inauguration. This AquaTower is located at a school which is also attended by children of Datwyler employees in Maharashtra.
Through this ongoing commitment, Datwyler is making a lasting impact, enhancing the lives of over 100’000 people by providing them with the essential resource of clean water.
Due to the lack of clean water, many students were falling ill, and parents were burdened with the financial strain of covering their children’s medical expenses, a cost often unaffordable for a majority of families in our community. The AquaTower will help them avoid this expense.
