News | February 28, 2024

The President of the Swiss National Council, Eric Nussbaumer, recently visited the Swiss Datwyler plant in Schattdorf, Uri. As the “highest Swiss”, he presides over one of the national parliaments. He was accompanied by Uri National Councillor Simon Stadler and Uri Government Councillor Daniel Furrer. The three government representatives met with Datwyler CEO Dirk Lambrecht and Site Director Reto Burkart for an exciting exchange. In addition to a tour of the production facilities, current topics such as the labor market situation with a shortage of craftsmen, the free movement of persons and the free trade agreement with Europe were discussed.
