At CPHI Worldwide in Milan, Italy (Booth 20B48), the company unveiled its NeoFlex Prefilled Syringe 10ml and its NeoFlex Cartridge Wearable 10ml plungers. Designed to meet the highest quality and safety standards, the new plungers stand up to the unique challenges of delivering large volume injectables through these devices.

The Edward Smith PDA Packaging Science Award recognizes outstanding contributions to pharmaceutical packaging science. At this year’s PDA (Parenteral Drug Association) Europe Parenteral Packaging Conference, the award was presented to Renaud Janssen (PhD), longtime Head of Technical Services at Datwyler. This award also represents Datwyler's leading expertise in system-critical components for injectable drugs.

Nine Datwyler production sites already cover 100% of their electricity needs with renewable energy – mostly generated from water, wind and photovoltaics, provided by their local electricity supplier. Furthermore, six production sites produce solar power for their own consumption. At the end of 2022, the share of electricity from renewable sources across all Datwyler plants was 36.6%. In this way, the company is actively supporting the United Nations' climate targets and making itself less dependent on the coal, oil and nuclear industries.

Datwyler installs «Uri’s largest photovoltaic system»

Datwyler is installing “Uri’s largest photovoltaic system” at its Schattdorf site, with an annual production of around 800,000 kilowatt hours. This corresponds to the annual electricity consumption of around 200 four-person single-family homes. The project also involves the company’s own electrician apprentices.
