Datwyler establishes global production footprint for liquid silicone rubber technology.

Datwyler is a leading global supplier of system-critical components for advanced applications in the mobility, health care, general industry and oil & gas sector. The best-in-class Liquid Silicon Rubber (LSR) and thermoplastic technology at the production site in Cleebronn, Germany is vital to drive growth in the Datwyler mobility segment. To meet the need of local solutions from our global customers, Datwyler has decided to expand the manufacturing footprint and transfer the LSR and thermoplastic technology to its manufacturing plants in Silao, Mexico and Wuxi, China

A global project team was built to complete the technology transfer to the two plants. With the great support of the team in Cleebronn, Germany the LSR and thermoplastic infrastructure and production concept has been implemented in both production plants.

Datwyler expects to produce first LSR and thermoplastic serial parts in Silao, Mexico in the 2nd half of 2021 and in Wuxi, China at the beginning of 2022.

Datwyler will further develop its local reliable services for existing customers as well as new customers in the NAFTA and Asia regions out of these new LSR and thermoplastic production facilities at its existing local plants.
